Here is this week's dose of “5-Point Friday”. A weekly round-up of the sports news and stories that I find most interesting and enjoyable.

Soccer event I followed -

North Carolina Courage stunned the record-setting crowd of 21,144 at Providence Park, defeating Portland Thorns 3-0 to win the 2018 NWSL Championship. This completed a treble for Courage this season, after claiming the NWSL Shield and ICC Tournament title.

Motor Racing story that has amazed me -

Moto2 racer Romano Fenati (@RomanoFenati) has had his racing license stripped. Fenati grabbing hold of Stefan Manzi's brakes during the Misano Moto2 Grand Prix.

Fenati was initially given a two-race ban for his actions. However, this was changed to a suspension for the rest of the year. Furthermore, the Italian rider was axed by his Snipers team.

Sporting Legend that I am following in -

This week I witnessed Tiger Woods' (@TigerWoods) return to winning ways, by winning the Tour Championship, at East Lake Golf Club. His first win since 2013. 'Tigermania' has helped Tour Championship's TV ratings increase by 206% on last year's figures.

My favorite sports play -

Vance McDonald's (@VMcDonald89) monster stiff arm on his way to a 75 yard touchdown, for the Steelers. You cannot miss this play:

New event I attended -

On Sunday, I attended the King of the Court volleyball tournament, at Huntington Beach. This was my first time experiencing this fast-paced version of the sport and is something that I highly recommend. Well done to Kings of the Court Jake Gibb & Taylor Crabb (@tcrabbs13), and Queens of the Court Alix Klineman (@alixklineman) & April Ross (@AprilRossBeach).

Have a wonderful weekend, all!
